this post is a summary of a book, which exists in German only – as I checked (Schäfer, Der Crash des Kapitalismus: Warum die entfesselte Marktwirtschaft scheiterte und was jetzt zu tun ist). However, to a large extent, it is a summary of basics in Economics. It would go too far to give you a complete reading list. Nevertheless, Paul Krugman, and Galbraith have made some interesting comments on the particular topic (they exist in English)
